Our family in 2009
Today was an absolutely beautiful day! After a yummy breakfast I made the day before, we gathered around while David read through our Torah portion and various other Scripture readings and finished up Exodus. We have been studying and learning about the tabernacle and the process and detail that went into this structure. We began talking to the children about how important repentance is and the process by which we must come into the presence of our King! I am so thankful that through the blood our Messiah shed for us we can come boldly before the throne. Boldly, but humbly! We don’t barge in and start demanding. There is order in the process of coming into HIS presence! We see so many preachers demanding their request and encouraging others to do so. These men need to go back to the Torah to learn the character of YHWH our Elohim and what pleases HIM!! We ALL do!
I am so thankful that my older two get that and the little ones are learning. I get so excited as they minister to us and explain what Yahweh is teaching them as they share with the family!
The more time we spend in the “beginning of the book” the more we understand the heart of our Creator because it was in the beginning that our creator revealed himself to his creation and our God does not change!
Dave and I have been blessed with obedience in our children. When Yahweh convicts us of needed change and we implement the change in our family, each child wholeheartedly accepts this from our heavenly Father! It was no different with the huge change in our diets. In fact, our children keep us in check with the scriptures! A verse from Timothy comes to mind:
Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity. 1Timothy 4:18
I look forward to the Sabbath all week. I use this time to catch up on teachings I have been collecting all week but am too busy for and to search out the scriptures for answers. I had a teaching shared with me recently on my Facebook and I marked it to listen to later as I usually do. I couldn’t wait. After our bike ride to the lake and back I took the time to listen! It is such a thorough strait forward teaching of what the Almighty considers food and what isn’t food. Since we are going into Leviticus this coming week I thought this teaching fit in well to help us prepare our hearts for the instructions contained in this important book.
Does God really care what we eat?
by Jim Staley (Passion for Truth ministries)If not, then where in the scriptures does it say that God changed His mind from what He told His people back in the book of Genesis?! Are you thinking of Acts 10, Galatians 2, Mark 7 or maybe Colossians 2? This teaching leaves no stone unturned as every single scripture used by theologians and church-goers alike concerning the subject is thoroughly examined. You will be amazed and shocked when you see for yourself that for over 1800 years we have read into the scriptures things that just aren’t there. You will truly be perplexed at the power of tradition and how the doctrine of “Jesus dying so we can eat anything” has survived for so long.
Click HERE to listen to Jim Staley’s complete teaching using Scripture to walk us through how important it is to keeping our “Temples” clean and set-apart.
There are two parts to this audio download. Once you click on the link the first part will start right up but you will need to start part 2 yourself.
I can not stress enough the importance of listening to this teaching in it’s entirety. It will clear up EVERY question you have about eating clean according to the Scriptures!
I am never amazed at just how deceived we have been because we reject the instructions of our loving Father and follow after tradition of men
You are to be set-apart to me because I YHWH am set-apart and I have set you apart from the nations to be My own.” Leviticus (Vayiqra) 20:25-26
