We’ve always homeschooled and it was typically around our kitchen table before we moved on the RV. Often outdoors on beautiful days or wherever the children felt creative in learning. It never looked like this photo…until we moved to our homestead with a handful of teenagers. It became apparent that I was in desperate need of some sort of break after all the fun of traveling non-stop for five years with two consecutive fall season in Israel as a family serving Israeli farmers. So, I signed everyone up with online accredited private schooling and created this “classroom” for our children to do their formal learning. I have mixed emotions. I’m thankful they have it and yet we would all rather be outdoors or in the kitchen mostly. We make a lot of time for that or musical instruments and any other hobby or interest. Yet the formal education is important to us and abeka is a wonderful program.
